Went out for a dinner treat last night with my partner and was severely disappointed with the lack of service and quality of food received. Im not one to write reviews or complain but considering the cost for the product served this is deserved.
The best a steak can get is the motto and after ordering 2x medium rare steaks both were undercooked, chewy/stringy and one was full of grizzle. So much so we fed it to the dogs at home.
No one asked how the meal was which I've never experienced before at hogs breath, and when I politely informed the server at the end to provide feedback to the chef there was no interest or even acknowledgement of the poor food served.
I've been going to hoggies forever and never had a bad experience until tonight, given the cost and the available options on the cost I won't consider returning anytime soon either.

I understand the people who work here are young but we sat down and it took forever for them to get our orders and then we waited almost an hour for our food so I asked about the food and they forgot to process our order so we walked out! It was so Awkward. They need to be more aware. I noticed other families trying to get attention to.

Knowing Hogs Breath has better standards than this restaurant, I was very disappointed.
1. The floor was covered in food and no staff were concerned about cleaning it up. The food remained for the entire time we dined despite new customers adding to the mess.
2. There were cleaning products, bottles of chemicals, rags and mops left in the hallways outside the toilets in the thoroughfare. The cleaning tools were smelly and dirty and looked like they’ve never been cleaned themselves. The toilet doors were marked and greasy.
3. The floors in the restaurant looked like they’ve only been swept and not actually cleaned. They’re stained black with dirt and grime. ( I can only assume what the condition of the kitchen was).
4. The swing entrance doors were sticky inside and out and I avoided touching them.
5. The managers office door was wide open and visible to customers and a number of staff went in to change their shirt and didn’t bother closing the door for privacy.
I assume the manager doest’t like their job or has such low standards, couldn’t conceive of proper procedures and hygiene practices.
I was embarrassed suggesting this restaurant to the group of people I came with. Overall this has discouraged me ever visiting Hogs Breath again.

Fantastic food and service. The prime rib was delicious, and my wife loved her burger. The kids meals were great value and were enjoyed by both my kids.
Service was awesome and never left waiting on anything. Shame we are only here on holidays as I'd love to come back again.

Unfortunately the parmys weren’t the greatest we have had much better at the surfers paradise store instead, the sauce tasted either quite off or a tad old.
Had the parmys been better it would’ve got a 4 star for sure!!

Kids' meals were fine, the basic nuggets and chips came with a soft drink & ice cream.
The meat platter was super disappointing, chicken was so dry, the chorizo tasted & looked like it had been soaking in oil for days, and the ribs were just OK, not juicy & tender like I remember.

My family of 8 had lunch at Hogs Breath here on Tuesday. I was pleased that everyone was happy with their meal, each being cooked to perfection. I personally like naturally cooked food with the flavour packed into the food without the need of sauces. This pic is of my meal, panfried crispy chicken breast and avocado with prawns and veges, yummy!
Took my grandaughter here for lunch. Won't be back. Expensive. That would have not been a problem if the food had been great sadly it wasn't. I had a taster plate of calamari, prawn, loaded potatoes and chicken tenders. It was decidedly below par. The chicken tenders so over cooked you could have broken a tooth on the crunchy crumb and so dry. An uninspiring dish. My grandaughter had the 200g sirloin steak which had a huge lot of un edible gristle.
Would I go back? Hell no.
